Pacifica quarterback Noah Salas ran for one touchdown and passed for two others, but the Mariners still lost, 20-19, to Buena Park Thursday night on the road.
Salas ran for a 65-yard score and completed TD passes of 33 and 72 yards to Cody Dykema, but a two-point conversion try that failed left the M’s losing their third game in four tries.
Buena Park is 3-2.
In other Thursday night games, Westminster (4-0) defeated Savanna by 42-0, Santiago (3-1) beat Magnolia (0-3) by 50-15 and Bolsa Grande (2-2) lost to La Sierra of Riverside (2-3) by 35-0.
