Eight of our West Orange County girls basketball teams will be in the CIF-SS playoffs this week.

The only local seeded team is Pacifica, which is seeded third in Division 4A. First round games are scheduled to be played on Thursday; second round games on Saturday. Wild card games will be on Tuesday.

Open Division is a round-robin tournament among four teams each in two pools. Orangewood (21-6) in is Pool A.

Open Division: (Saturday) Orangewood vs. Sierra Canyon; (Wednesday, Feb. 14) Orangewood at Mater Dei; (Saturday, Feb. 15) Orangewood at Sage Hill.

Division 3A: Huntington Beach (16-12) at Segerstrom (22-6).

Division 4AA: Rancho Cucamonga (20-8) at Santiago (10-12); Pacifica (22-7) at Canyon Springs (22-7); Norwalk (20-8) at Marina (20-8). Wild card A: Santa Ana (13-14) at La Quinta (14-14).

Division 4A: Magnolia (15-9) at Redlands Adventist (12-9).

Division 5AA: Winner of Wild Card A at Loara (18-8).
