The search continues for a Midway City man believed to have been kidnapped from his driveway and spirited away.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, Tony Lam, 61, was seized on March 15. Two suspects have been arrested, but Lam is still missing.
The OCSD states that on the day, a woman living near the area of Hunter Lane and Madison Avenue in Midway City reported a possible kidnapping. Responding deputies confirmed that an assault and kidnapping had taken place.
After visiting restaurants in Westminster and Garden Grove, Lam is believed to have been confronted by a masked man when he returned home, was assaulted and driven away from the scene in “a vehicle that was not his own.”
Sheriff’s department investigators identified two of those suspected of being involved in the kidnapping. They are Nhan Chin Nguyen, 49, and Phi Hung Nguyen, 53. They were arrested and booked into Orange Count Jail in Santa Ana.
Anyone with information related to Lam or his kidnapping is asked to contact Sheriff’s Dispatch at (714) 647-7000.
