Pipeline agreement approved

An ordinance to authorize an amendment to a franchise agreement with Cardinal Pipeline LP for the operation and maintenance of a pipeline system was approved by the Huntington Beach City Council on Tuesday night.

The pipeline transports oil, gas and other hydrocarbon substances. The vote was 6-0-1 with Councilmember Tony Strickland absent.

Also on Tuesday night, the council:

  • approved a contract agreement with All City Management Services  for crossing guard services;
  • approved contract agreements with the cities of Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Irvine for public safety helicopter services.

The next meeting of the city council is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6.
