A WINTER STORM is predicted for parts of the nation this week (Shutterstock).

Wintry weather could complicate travel during the Thanksgiving holiday week.

According to the Associated Press, forecasters at the National Weather Service have issued a winter storm warning for the Sierra Nevada area through Tuesday with heavy snow expected at higher elevations.

Snow and rain will strike the Midwest and Great Lakes regions while the East/Atlantic Coast will take a major hit on Thanksgiving Day and “Black Friday.”

Overall, there should be more rain than snow, and people are cautioned to prepare for wet weather. The storms should abate by Sunday, easing travel “back home.”

The new “Department of Governmental Efficiency,” to be led by Elon Muck and Vivek Ramaswamy, has paid out its plans in an article in the Wall Street Jourmal.

“Requiring federal employees to come to the office five days a week would result in a wave of voluntary terminations that we welcome: If federal employees don’t want to show up, American taxpayers shouldn’t pay them for the Covid-era privilege of staying home,” they wrote.
