You can’t do better than that. The Angels and Dodgers each posted wins on Tuesday night, neither of them giving up a run.

Angels 7, Diamondbacks 0: Mike Trout looked like the All-Star of old, hitting a home run and a double and driving in three runs at Chase Field in Phoenix.

But he wasn’t the only Halo with a hot bat. Overall, the team had 14 hits, compared to the D-backs’ four.
Logan O’Hoppe had three hits and also with two hits were Zach Neto, Denzer Guzman and Donovan Walton, who also had two runs batted in.

Reid Detmers (3-5) pitched a gem, going seven innings and yielding just three hits. He struck out three D-backs.
With the win, the Angels are 30-44. They’re still in firth and last place in the American League West, but have won five of their last seven games.

Dodgers 1, Tampa Bay 0: Shohei Ohtani has sometimes been thought of as a one-man team. That’s not really true but he came pretty close to that when he hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth inning for the winning score.

That gave the win to Justin Wrobleski (8-2). He went six innings, giving up just three hits. He struck out five Rays and walked none and his ERA dipped to 2.72.

The Blue Crew is now 47-27, still leading the National League West.
