Local high school football teams won three of four Friday night contests.

Rancho Alamitos (5-0) remained unbeaten with a 38-7 non-league win over district rival La Quinta. The Aztecs dropped to 4-2 with the loss.

The Vaqueros will open Sigma League play against a winless Saddleback (0-5) team next week. The likely championship showdown would be against Ocean View (4-1) on Oct. 30.

Edison shook off a rare three-game losing streak with a 36-0 rout of Summit High of Fontana. The Chargers are now 2-3.

Los Amigos (4-1) won a nail-biter, edging Eisenhower of Rialto 23-20. The Eagles are now 1-5.

Magnolia lost 43-8 to Loara (5-1, 4-0), the Tango League front-runners. The Sentinels are now 2-3 overall and 1-2 in league, tied for sixth place in the nine-team conference.
