
TWO PEOPLE were arrested in an incident in downtown Huntington Beach that left a man with a serious head injury.
An investigation is continuing into the brutal attack early Saturday morning in Huntington Beach that left a man hospitalized with a serious head injury.
According to police, the incident occurred around 12:56 a.m. at the Thunder Burgz Pizza, 126 Main St. The victim was an employee of the restaurant, and was allegedly attacked by two men who were subsequently arrested.
- Bryce Anthony Mezich, 21, of Anaheim, charged with felony assault with serious bodily injury and fighting in public
- Austin Wright Callan, 22, of Anaheim, charged with fighting in public.
Police say the cause of the fight and circumstances are still under investigation. The victim, a 33-year-old man, was in stable condition Tuesday. Some published reports – not confirmed by police – state that the assailants demanded free food from the victim.
