Beginning Monday, June 17, 2019 through October 2019, several streets in Garden Grove will undergo rehabilitation causing temporary traffic delays. Streets under construction are: Euclid Street, from Chapman Avenue to Katella Avenue; Garden Grove Boulevard, from Brookhurst Street to Nelson Street; and Woodbury Road, west of Harbor Boulevard.
To facilitate construction work, traffic on Euclid Street and Garden Grove Boulevard will be reduced to one lane. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes to avoid congestion. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access to businesses and residences along the construction area will be maintained at all times.
The improvements consist of the removal and construction of uplifted median curbs, gutter, sidewalk, and wheelchair ramps; traffic striping; raised pavement markers; and asphalt concrete base and surface. The work will result in an improved roadway surface and minimize maintenance efforts.
On Palmwood Drive, from Patricia Drive to Vegas Way, improvements consist of constructing a 4-inch wide sidewalk on both sides of the street.
The project is funded by Measure “M2 Local Fair Share” and gas tax funds.
