The “education platform” Niche has honored the Huntington Beach Union High School District as among the best public school districts in California and fourth-best in Orange County.

Niche gives the HBUHSD an overall grade of A+, which breaks down as A+ in academics and college prep, an A for diversity and teachers, a B+ for administration and a B for clubs and activities.

These “grades” are calculated from statistics but also from public comments and reviews. According to niche.com, the district has about 15,000 students.

The HBUHSD serves the city of Huntington Beach along with most of Fountain Valley and Westminster. The 9-12 comprehensive schools are Huntington Beach High, Westminster High, Marina High, Edison High and Ocean View High.
