Tree fire knocked down quickly

A blaze that broke out in Westminster around 4 p.m. Sunday was quickly knocked down by firefighters.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the fire began in cypress trees and was starting to extend to the garage of a home in the 14000 block of Barber St., south of Westminster Boulevard, west of Springdale Street.

There were no injuries and OCFA firefighters were assisted by units from the Huntington Beach Fire Department.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
