President Joe Biden, scrambling to fend off suggestions that he drop his candidacy for the Democratic presidential nomination, took part in a 22-minute ABC News interview on Friday.
He defended his mental fitness for the job, saying, “Look, I have a cognitive test every single day. Every day I have that that test, Everything I do. You know, not only am I campaigning, but I am running the world.”

At the same time, some Democratic leaders are calling on Biden to step aside, while others – like Vice Presdident Kamala Harris – are sticking by him, insisting he can still rally to defeat Trump.
