Seek suspect in fatal hit and run

A SUSPECT in being sought for a fatal hit-and-run in Stanton (Shutterstock).

The search is on for a suspect wanted in the hit-and-run death on Wednesday of a 66-year-old homeless man in Stanton.

According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the area of Katella Avenue and Date Street. Deputies were dispatched in reference to a report of a pedestrian vs. automobile incident.

The pedestrian was identified as Jeffrey DeLaRosa, who succumbed to injuries sustained during the collision.
Deputies say the driver fled the scene and is being sought. The suspect vehicle is described as a white 2007-2015 Nissan Rogue with front-end damage. It was last seen traveling eastbound on Katella toward Beach Boulevard.
