Suspect arrested in woman’s death

POLICE are searching for a man in connection with the death of a woman in Huntington Beach.

POLICE are searching for a man in connection with the death of a woman in Huntington Beach.

UPDATE: Jason Becher, a suspect in the death of a Huntington Beach woman, was located and arrested in Oregon this afternoon, according to the HBPD. The vehicle he was driving, a white Lexus, has not yet been found. Police also identified the woman as Marylou Sarkissian.

Huntington Beach police are searching for a suspect in the death of a woman. Officers doing a welfare check on a woman in the 9000 block of Litchfield Drive found the woman’s body at 1 p.m. on Friday.

A potential suspect has been identified; he is Jason Becher, 41. He’s described as being a white male, 6-feet,1-inch tall, weight 195 lb. with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He drives a white 2015 Lexus sedan with California license plate 7MZP290. Police believe he may be headed either for Anaheim or Las Vegas. The suspect and the victim are believed to be known to each other, but the nature of their relationship has not been confirmed, according to the HBPD.

Her identity and the cause of death are not being released as the investigation continues.
