
A DRIVEWAY TRUCK FIRE was quickly knocked down in Huntington Beach Monday morning (HBPD photo from a neighbor).
A truck burst into flames in a driveway in Huntington Beach Monday morning but the fire was kept from spreading to the house by the quick action of the fire department. According to Battalion Chief Jeff Lopez of the HBFD, the blaze was reported at 11:27 a.m. at 19532 Starfish Lane in the Beachwalk neighborhood.
Five units were involved in knocking down the fire in the engine compartment of the Ford 150 pickup truck. The vehicle is considered a total loss and there was significant damage to the garage door, but the garage structure and house escaped the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
