The La Quinta Aztec softball team continued its rampage through February with a 14-1 win over Orange High Tuesday afternoon. The victory improved the blue-and-gold’s mark to 5-0.

Winner of all five of those games was pitcher Ally Guzman. At bat, Xochiti Esparza was 3-for 4 with a triple, two RBIs and a stolen base. She also threw out a runner trying to steal second.

Nicole Takao was 2-for-2 with a single and a double and pitched the last two innings. Aaliyah Iofi was 2-for-2 with a single and “crushed” a double to the fence in centerfield.

The game was shortened to five innings because of the score.
