A WOMAN and a man were fatally shot in Anaheim (Shutterstock).

An investigation into an apparent murder-suicide in Anaheim that took place on Thursday afternoon and evening is continuing.

According to the APD, police and Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to a report at about 3:40 p.m. of a shooting at an apartment complex at 891 South State College Blvd.

Arriving officers found Ana Monterrosa, 59, of Anaheim, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.

Police determined that Brian Lawrence, 61, was the suspect in the woman’s death. He was a resident in the complex and returned to his apartment after the shooting.

At about 9:30 p.m. SWAT officers  entered Lawrence’s apartment and found his body, dead from an apparent suicide.
