It’s not easy to decide what was the bigger feat: Shohei Ohtani’s three home runs in the fourth and deciding game of the 2025 National League Championship Series, or the fact that the powerful Milwaukee Brewers were able to score only four runs in four games – one in each.

But, for the moment, the spotlight is on the former Angel who also pitched six innings of Friday’s 5-1 triumph.
Ohtani hit solo home runs in the first, fourth and seventh innings, a history-making performance.

As the starting pitcher, he gave up just two hits. He struck out 10 batters and walked  three.

The Dodgers totaled nine hits. Will Smith followed Ohtani with two hits and one run scored.

The sweep by the Dodgers gives them a chance to win a second consecutive World Series title. In the American League Championship Series, the Seattle Mariners lead three game to two over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Either way, the World Series will start on Friday, Oct. 24 with the Blue Crew on the road.
