Candidates from West Orange County cities had mixed results in Tuesday’s primary elections.
Some hopefuls did well enough to advance to the general election in November. Here are the results from the California Secretary of State’s tallies. In some cases the districts cover not just Orange County, but also include parts of Los Angeles County.
In California’s electoral system, the top two candidates in each race – regardless of party – qualify for the final “runoff” in November. In some instances, it’s possible that the “finalists” could be of the same party.
