A proposal to establish a new drive-through restaurant at the southeast corner of Chapman Avenue and Harbor Boulevard goes before the Garden Grove Planning Commission when it meets on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m.
The applicant, Vinh Nguyen, is asking for approval of a site plan to establish a 7 Leaves Café in an existing 1,900-square foot building that has served as a drive-through pharmacy, converting it to an eatery.
7 Leaves is a growing chain of establishments which serve a variety of artisan teas, coffees and fruit drinks, as well as macrons, a cookie-like French confection.
The building was previously occupied by Walgreen Drugs.
Also, the commission will consider:
- a conditional use permit to allow a new liquor store, Hero’s Liquor and Market, to operate with a liquor off-sale license at 13911 Harbor Blvd.;
- a conditional use permit to allow an existing Holiday Inn Express hotel to operate with a beer and wine liquor sales license for the lobby of a gift shop for the sale of canned and bottled beer, as well as a liquor license for the breakfast/bar area on the ground floor with indoor seating only and service of pre-made snack foods.
The commission meets in the Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
