A GARDEN GROVE man was arrested Friday for rape of a mental health patient (Shutterstock).

Police arrested a mental health patient Friday on a charge of raping another mental health patient at Huntington Beach Hospital.

According to Jennifer Carey, public information officer for the HBPD, the suspect is Adrian Alfredo Sanchez, 27, of Garden Grove. He is charged with rape, and rape of an incompetent person, as well as two counts of assault with intent to commit a sex offense.

The incident took place Wednesday in the mental health unit in the hospital where Sanchez was a patient.
