Arrest made in woman’s death

A WOMAN’S BODY was found in Huntington Beach on Monday afternoon (Shutterstock).

The body of a woman was found Monday afternoon in Huntington Beach, having “passed away under suspicious circumstances.”

According to the HBPD, police responded to reports of a family disturbance at around 5:15 p.m. in the 17000 block of Friml Lane, southeast of Warner Avenue. They “secured the location” and during the investigation that followed, found the body, which is being reported by some news media as having been in the trunk of an automobile.

Arrested for murder was Richard Paul Rodriguez, 34, of Holbrook, Arizona.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
