Hit-and-crash suspect is arrested

A SUSPECT was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly drove his vehicles into a tree, power pole and fence in Garden Grove.

A 57-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon in Garden Grove after the vehicle he was driving and the vehicle he was towing crashed into a tree, a power pole and the front fence of a home,

According to Sgt. Mark Lord of the GGPD, the incident took place around 2:11 p.m. in the area of Chapman Avenue and Morrie Lane, east of Brookhurst Street.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Chapman in an area where street work is being done, limiting traffic to one lane. The auto and trailer swerved off the road, smashing the tree, pole and fence.

After the crash, the driver fled the scene but was caught a short distance away with the help of nearby residents.

Larry Noble was arrested for hit-and-run and taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening. Chapman Avenue was closed for an “extended period of time.”
